Katelyn Butcher indicted on aggravated child abuse of 8-week-old infant

26-year-old Katelyn Butcher was arrested on June 14, charged with 2 counts of aggravated child abuse of an 8-week-old infant. She is free on a $30,000 bond, with arraignment scheduled in early July. The Montgomery County Grand Jury returned the true bill earlier this month, a copy of which is below. Due to the nature of the Grand Jury proceedings, most details were not available. Man indicted on rape & kidnapping charges after taking an incapacitated victim to his bedroom against her will

Investigative documents show the incapacitated victim called out for her husband while 50-year-old Jesse Antonio Ruiz took her to his bedroom in February 2018. He was indicted on felony rape and kidnapping charges and remains in the Montgomery County Jail, since his June 12th arrest, in lieu of a $100,000 bond.

Woman charged with domestic assault after admitting to striking boyfriend with flower pot

Clarksville police observed mud and flowers strewn about Brittany Bonner’s living room on June 14th as they responded to a domestic assault call. Bonner advised she threw the flower pot, striking her boyfriend during an argument as he was leaving the apartment.

18-year-old charged with statutory rape of a 13-year-old child

Anderson James “AJ” Fox was arrested June 13th after a Grand Jury indictment was unsealed, charging him on two counts of statutory rape of a 13-year-old child. Fox is free on a $25,000 bond.

Mother charged with biting child during an argument over going to bed

25-year-old Mystery Somnus is charged with aggravated felony child abuse and neglect after she left teeth marks and a bruise on her young daughter’s arm during an argument over going to bed. She initially claimed a dog bit her daughter, before admitting she did it.

Former Rossview High JROTC volunteer leader charged with sexual battery of 13-year-old

34-year-old Joshua Kain Carmichael, a former Rossview High School JROTC volunteer instructor, has been indicted on multiple charges of sexual battery, and sexual battery by an authority figure. He was arrested on June 12, and released hours later on a $40,000 bond.

Shawn Newhouse indicted on 4 counts of child rape – $50,000 bond

The Montgomery County Grand Jury unsealed an indictment charging 22-year-old Shawn Anthony Newhouse with four counts of rape of a child under the age of 13. Newhouse was arrested on June 8th and is currently held in the Montgomery County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Eric Taylor is charged with domestic assault and interference with an emergency call after police say he assaulted his girlfriend while accusing her of cheating. An emergency operator could hear her scream “Help me!” before the call suddenly disconnected on June 9th

Mother-in-law brandishes 2 handguns to intimidate son-in-law after an argument

48-year-old Stacy Hodges was charged with domestic assault after returning to Clarksville on June 8th. Police say she brandished two handguns and tried to trap her son-in-law in his apartment on May 29th, before fleeing to her home in Michigan.

Kimberly Rew indicted on 7 counts of obtaining drugs fraudulently from veterinary offices

The Montgomery County Grand Jury has indicted Kimberly Rew on 7 felony counts of obtaining drugs by fraud from 4 Clarksville area veterinary offices. She was booked on June 10th in Clarksville, and transferred to Robertson for 3 additional counts, and is now free on $15,000 total bonds.
