Officer Hyatt made contact with Tomas Barrientos who was unresponsive at the time. Officers had to remove him from the vehicle and smelled a strong amount of alcohol coming from him and the vehicle. Officer Hyatt asked Barrientos to perform a couple of tasks to see if he can operate his motor vehicle safely and he performed poorly. Barrientos was then transported to Sango Emergency Room (Tennova) to provide a blood sample that he consented to.

Tomas Barrientos was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. He was released on a $500 bond.
