Man clobbers girlfriend in response to losing CD’s

57-year-old William Beasley was charged with domestic assault after he and his girlfriend, Wanda Proctor, engaged in a physical altercation when Beasley accused her of stealing some of his CDs and headphones.

On November 3rd, Clarksville Police Officer Doss responded to an Avondale Park Apartments, located at 1351 Avondale Drive, for a possible domestic assault. Wanda Proctor told Officer Doss that she and William Beasley had a physical altercation. Beasley and Proctor were in the bedroom when Beasley accused her of stealing his headphones and some of his CDs.

The police officer’s report stated that Proctor told Beasley that she did not take anything from him. Proctor told officers that Beasley became upset and began to assault her. Per the affidavit, Beasley punched her in the face several times, before she ran to the neighbor’s door for help. Beasley then grabbed her by the hair, and threw her to the ground, and punched her again. Officers stated that Proctor had injuries to her face. Pictures were taken and added to the report, and reportedly Beasley had left the apartment before officers had responded. A warrant for his arrest was issued.

William Beasley was arrested and charged domestic assault. He is currently in lieu of a $2,500 bond.
