Man reportedly kicks girlfriend to ground during argument; claims he was sleeping

26-year-old Joseph Hall III was charged with aggravated assault and false imprisonment after his girlfriend told authorities that he kicked her to the ground, and he carried her back inside their home.

On October 11th, Clarksville Police Department Officer Tyler Eller arrived at the residence of 13 Avalon Street in response to a domestic violence call.

Joseph Hall and his girlfriend got into an argument. When she walked outside, he followed her then kicked her to the ground. He then picked her up and carried her back inside the house. When speaking with officers Hall said that he had just woken up. There was evidence of violent activity inside the house as well as injuries on the girlfriend’s body.

Joseph Hall was arrested and charged with domestic violence. He was released on a $15,000 bond.

During the field sobriety test, Hall had performed poorly on the tasks that the officer instructed him to perform. Hall later consented to a blood test.
