The keys had been accidentally left by another customer of the store. By the time he realized he forgot them, the shopping cart was already gone. Surveillance showed Wood continued shopping, proceeded through self-checkout at 10:59 a.m., and the 2012 Volkswagen Passat drove away at 11:42 a.m. During a recorded interview, Wood admitted to being in possession of the keys.

Ryan Wood was arrested and charged with theft of property valued at $10,000-$60,000. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
