Shirtless, intoxicated man from Rockford attempts to fight children

29-year-old Demetrius White was charged with public intoxication after attempting to fight residents and children outside of Clarksville Housing Authority.

On October 11th, Clarksville Police Officer Matos arrived at the Clarksville Housing Authority area, near 174 Edmondson Ferry Road, in response to an anonymous call saying a black male was trying to fight “residents and children”.

Matos found Demetrius White without his shirt or shoes. He was observed to be unsteady on his feet. He was verbally aggressive toward officers and had “extremely slurred speech”. White was cooperative while being taken unto custody, but kept repeating that he was from Rockford, Illinois.

Demetrius White was charged with public intoxication. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $439 bond.
