Semi-truck driver swings breaker bar and brandishes gun at Clarksville Speedway

50-year old Darren Hoyle was charged with two counts of aggravated assault after swinging a breaker bar and brandishing a handgun over one of them sleeping with his ex-girlfriend, per report.

On July 26th, Officer Jay Skidmore was called to Clarksville Speedway at 1600 Needmore Road by two victims. They stated that Hoyle approached them, yelling and condemning one of them for sleeping with his girlfriend. He threw punches at the victims and they defended themselves. Hoyle then left but came back with a breaker bar which he also swung at them.

One victim started feeling threatened at this point, but was able to dodge the bar. He then hoisted his shirt and threatened to shoot them both with a handgun. The other victim felt threatened by him pointing the gun at them. Both witnesses said they saw Hoyle with a handgun in his left hand. He retreated to his semi-truck where police recovered the breaker bar, but no firearms were found.

Darren Hoyle was charged with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $10,000.
