26-year-old Lakeitra Withrow was charged with public intoxication after she flagged an officer down on College Street saying she was suicidal. When searched, officers find a white rock that fell out of her bra that she claimed was crack.
On May 19th around 2 am, Lakeitra Withrow flagged Officer Raikes who was en route to a separate call in the middle of College Street and says that she is suicidal. She consents to a search where a rock-like substance fell out of her bra that she told the officer was crack, per report. The officer’s field test on the substance was inconclusive so it was sent to TBI for further analysis.
Police stated that Withrow had watery eyes, slurred speech, and smelled of alcohol. She told police that she had consumed alcohol and crack cocaine so they deemed her to be a danger to herself. They also believe that she told them she was suicidal just to be placed in Suicide Watch at the Montgomery Jail.
Lakeitra Withrow was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Her bond was set at $439.
