Woman violates order of protection by hitting ex in throat

27-year-old Lakeitra Withrow was charged with aggravated domestic assault and contempt after she reportedly followed her ex-boyfriend into a hotel elevator during an argument and hit him in the throat.

On November 13th, Clarksville Police Officer Timothy Hicks was dispatched to the WoodSpring Suites hotel at 675 Kennedy Lane in response to reports of domestic violence. Officers were informed that a female had assaulted a male and was walking down the street. They made contact with Lakeitra Withrow while they were driving down Kennedy Lane. She told officers that she and her ex-boyfriend, Joe Watson, got into an argument when he came to the hotel to give her some of her items. She claimed the altercation then became physical and he punched her in the face.

She reported she followed him to the elevator and attempted to push him away. Officers noted she had no visible marks and was found to have active conditions of release in Cheatham county. Officers next made contact with Joe, who stated she hit him in the throat. He claimed she was upset because he would not take her to her friend’s house and asked him to exit her hotel room. When said when he attempted to leave, she followed him into the elevator and began to strike him in the throat. Police also noted that Lakeitra had a previous history of domestic violence against Joe.

Lakeitra Withrow was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and contempt. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $20,000 bond.
