Man intercepted trying to sell stolen trailer at Sam’s Club

24-year-old James Bourne III was charged with theft of property, violation of order of protection, compliance of financial responsibility, and improper stopping at a stop sign after attempting to sell a stolen pull behind trailer valued at $2,000.

On October 19th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Investigator Marc McElroy found a $2,000 trailer that was reported stolen at Sam’s Club located at 3315 Guthrie Highway.

James Roland Bourne III had the trailer attached to his Chevy S-10 pick-up truck and told McElroy that he owned both, and was there trying to sell the trailer.

James Bourne III was arrested and charged with theft of property. He also had outstanding warrants for an order of protection violation, compliance with financial responsibility, and improper stopping at a stop sign. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $31,000 bond.
