Man found with meth during traffic stop for false plates

38-year-old Daniel Riggle was charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, unlawful removal of plates, and no insurance after he was pulled over in a Nissan with plates belonging to a BMW.

On August 31st, MCSO Deputy Jackson observed at black Nissan Maxima with plates that showed in NCIC to belong to a blue BMW. The officer pulled the Nissan over in a driveway located at 940 Dover Road. The driver of the vehicle was identified as Daniel Riggle.

The officer requested and obtained consent to search his vehicle. One hypodermic needle and a small baggy containing about 2.1 grams of a clear crystal substance were recovered. The clear substance field-tested positive for methamphetamine. It was later discovered the license plate did not belong to Riggle, he did not have insurance, and was driving on a suspended license.

Daniel Riggle was arrested and charged with possession of meth and paraphernalia, driving on a suspended license, unlawful removal of plates, and no insurance. His bond was set at $5,000.
