Man charged after reportedly assaulting girlfriend in hotel room

34-year-old Chad Lamothe was charged with domestic assault after he reportedly slammed his girlfriend’s head off of the shower wall, threw her on a bed, head-butted her, and strangled her at a Sleep Inn & Suites hotel.

On November 15th, Clarksville Police Officer Knoblock responded to a call for service at the Sleep Inn & Suites located at 230 Cracker Barrel Drive. He reported that when he arrived, he made contact with Debby Goff in the hotel lobby. Debby stated she and her boyfriend, Chad Lamothe, rented room 315.

She told the officer while she was in the shower, Chad grabbed her by the neck and reportedly pushed her head into the wall. She said he left the room, and she went into the main living area when Chad entered the room again and threw Debby on the bed. She reported he head-butted her and put her head in a leg lock, to the point she could not breathe. Officers noted the couple had no prior history of domestic assault.

Chad Lamothe was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault. He was later released on a $2,500 bond.
