Unconscious woman found lying near 127 grams of meth; charged with intent to distribute

22-year-old Jeslyn Pope was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of marijuana, possession of MDMA, and possession of drug paraphernalia after she was reportedly found passed out in a motel room by staff.

On November 21st, Clarksville Police officers responded to a medical emergency at the Country Inn and Suites located at 3075 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard. They met with the front desk clerk, who told them that a female in room 435 was asleep and unresponsive.

The Clarksville Fire Department and Emergency Medical Services also arrived at the scene. They identified the female as Jeslyn Pope. While looking for her identification, EMS reportedly found a baggie in her purse that contained four MDMA pills. Officer Lindsey Brown observed, in plain view, a large bag filled with smaller baggies, containing a total of four and a half ounces of methamphetamine. Agent Matthew Farrell was called to the scene, then asked for consent to search the motel room, which Jeslyn granted. The agent noted that the search yielded a digital scale, multiple baggies, a bag of syringes, and a metal grinder that had two grams of marijuana inside.

Jeslyn Pope was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, possession of marijuana, possession of MDMA, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was later released on an $11,500 bond.
