feat Ramey, Michael

61-year-old Michael Ramey was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license after he rear-ended a vehicle that caused a total of five vehicles to collide.

On July 26th, Michael Ramey was involved in an accident with four other vehicles. He was driving in the rear of the line of cars. The impact of his vehicle caused the car in front to slam into the car it was behind, leaving both vehicles nonoperational. As the officer approached Ramey, he smelled the distinct odor of alcohol on his person. When the office questioned Ramey, he admitted to having some alcohol earlier in the day.

The officer recognized that Ramey’s eyes were bloodshot and decided to conduct standard field sobriety tests. During the test, Ramey displayed 6 clues of impairment and then refused to complete any more tasks. While he was detained, Ramey became increasingly belligerent indicating that he was becoming more intoxicated over time. The officers reviewed Ramey’s driving record and discovered that he received a previous DUI that had resulted in the suspension of his license.

Michael Ramey was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. His bond was set at $2,500.
