Homeless man charged with public intox at Dollar General

27-year-old Kevin Hodges was charged with being intoxicated at a Dollar General on Ft. Campbell Boulevard where he couldn’t type his PIN number into the card machine and then rolled on the floor when police attempted to detain him.

On May 29th, Officer Heath arrived at Dollar General on Ft. Campbell Boulevard and made contact with the defendant Kevin Hodges in response to public intoxication. Officer Heath, via the report, stated that he was unsteady on his feet and mumbling when trying to speak. He also had the odor of burnt marijuana coming off him, and could not press the buttons to input his PIN to complete his purchase.

As he was being placed into custody he began throwing himself around, kicking, and rolling around on the floor preventing the officer from placing him into handcuffs. When they finally detained him they placed him into custody and transported him to booking.

Kevin Hodges was arrested and charged with public intoxication and resisting arrest. His bond was set at $2,500.
