Fugitive strangles woman after confrontation about items found on his phone

30-year-old Darrell Lardge was charged with aggravated assault after he strangled the victim because she confronted him about things she had found on his phone, per report. He was also discovered to be wanted in another state.

On July 1st, close to 2:30 pm Officer Bagwell spoke to a victim of domestic assault at her house, 658 Sturdivant Drive, who said that she confronted Darrell Lardge about items that she had found on his phone.

They were both upstairs in the residence when Lardge became upset and threw her on the bed, beginning to strangle her. She stated that he did so until she was unable to breathe. He let her up and she went downstairs but he came down to grab her and push her outside. Officer Bagwell reported that there were visible bruises on her neck and right arm. Lardge was placed into custody after a traffic stop at 601 Tiny Town. Neither of them has any history of domestic violence.

Darrell Lardge was arrested and charged with aggravated assault and fugitive wanted by another state. His bond was set at $255,000.
