Clarksville woman racks up multiple charges from car accident

46-year-old Hollie Waynick was charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, duty to render aid, failure to exercise due care, compliance with financial responsibility, leaving the scene of an accident, immediate notice of accident, and driving on a suspended license after she was involved in an accident on Merritt Lewis Lane and fled the scene where police found a man overdosed in the back seat.

On May 2nd, Trooper Kerry Naquin responded to a single-vehicle crash on Merritt Lewis Lane. A red SUV was found wrecked in a fence line. In the backseat, Trooper Naquin found an unresponsive man who looked like he had overdosed and gave the man Narcan. A witness said he saw a white woman in the driver’s seat. Officers said the description of the woman matched Hollie Waynick.

Waynick admitted she was driving the SUV when it crashed. She said she turned around to see what was happening and ran off the road when the backseat passenger grabbed her seat belt. She told officers she got out of the vehicle to find a rope to pull the SUV out of the fence. When asked why she didn’t call, she said she didn’t have a cell phone. Waynick has a lengthy history of vehicle violations. The condition of the passenger is unknown.

Hollie Waynick was arrested and charged with aggravated assault, reckless endangerment, duty to render aid, failure to exercise due care, compliance with financial responsibility, leaving the scene of an accident, immediate notice of accident, and driving on a suspended license. Her total bond was set at $50,000.
