Clarksville man tackles girlfriend during dispute, per report

32-year-old Harold Chaffin was charged with domestic assault after tackling his girlfriend during a verbal altercation that turned violent on Fairfield Drive. Chaffin’s girlfriend reportedly suffered injuries to her head, wrist, and elbow.

On June 3rd, Officer Ramirez was dispatched to 530 Fairfield Drive in response to a call regarding domestic violence. Upon arrival, Ramirez met with the victim, who was identified as the girlfriend of Harold Chaffin. According to the affidavit, Chaffin and his girlfriend had been involved in an argument the night before where Chaffin allegedly assaulted his lover.

During the dispute, Chaffin tackled his girlfriend to the ground, per report. Chaffin’s attack left bruises on the victim’s elbow, wrist and head regions, with claims of head pain from hitting her head on the ground.

Harold Chaffin was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $500.
