Woman charged after witness watches her stand over her mother and say “I could kill you”

20-year-old Auziya Chambers was charged with domestic assault after reportedly getting into argument with her mom, leading to her saying she could kill her.

On November 21st, Clarksville Police Officer Clint Sutton responded to a domestic dispute at 3783 Harvest Ridge per the affidavit. When the officers arrived they made contact with Auziya Chambers, her mother Cassandra Ryan, an unnamed complainant, and Auziya’s boyfriend. Chambers and Ryan were arguing with each other, and both of them were then separated. Chambers stated that she and her mother were arguing because Chambers’s boyfriend visited the residence and her mother did not want him there. Chambers also stated during the argument, Ryan tried to grab her, telling her to leave, and then they both began to shove each other.

Afterward, Officer Sutton spoke to Cassandra Ryan who stated she did not try to grab Chambers, and was only motioning for her to leave the building when Chambers attacked her. The complainant told Officer Sutton that he intervened between Chambers and Ryan to break up the fight. He also stated that Chambers and Ryan both went upstairs, and when he followed, he saw Chambers standing over Ryan, saying, “I could kill you.” Chambers was determined by the police to have been the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Auziya Chambers was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She was later released on a $500 bond.
