Woman charged after throwing a liquor bottle at her husband

58-year-old Cynthia Chappell was charged with domestic assault after she threw a bottle of liquor at her husband during an argument.

On September 27th, Clarksville Police Officer Cassford responded to a domestic dispute at 2208 Roanoke Road. Upon arrival, contact was made with Cynthia Chappell who stated she and her husband got into a verbal altercation and she grabbed a bottle of liquor and threw it at him, but it did not hit him.

Her husband advised police they did get into a verbal altercation and she first swung the bottle attempting to hit him with it. She proceeded to throw the bottle at him and missed. He advised police he grabbed Cynthia in self-defense and they both fell to the ground. Cynthia was determined to be the primary aggressor and was taken into custody.

Cynthia Chappell was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $500 and she is no longer in custody.
