Dickson county man admits to drinking 4 beers prior to crash

29-year-old Gavin Jagodzinski was charged with driving under the influence and driver failing to exercise due care when at the scene of an accident he admitted to drinking four beers.

On September 14th, Clarksville Police Officer Harrington was dispatched to Needmore Road and Elkmont Drive regarding a wreck and driving under the influence. Contact was made with Gavin Jagodzinski, who was one of the drivers involved in the crash. While asking Gavin for his information the officer noted he could smell an alcoholic odor coming from his person and had slurred speech as well as red, bloodshot eyes.

While Gavin was looking for all of the needed information he was unsteady on his feet. The officer asked how much he had to drink and Gavin claimed he had four beers prior to the wreck. After his info was gathered, he was asked to perform a sobriety test and performed poorly. At this time Gavin was transported to Tennova Hospital were he was read and consented to a blood test.

Gavin Jagodzinski was arrested and charged with DUI and driver failing to exercise due care and his bond was set at $3,000.
