24-year-old Tawana Beal was charged with domestic assault after she blocked her boyfriend from leaving and then hit him in the face multiple times with a closed fist during an argument that caused his face to become swollen from the attack.
On June 13th, Deputy Burkhart received a call regarding a domestic dispute on Garrettsburg Rd in Clarksville. Upon arrival, Burkhart met with the boyfriend of Tawana Beal, who informed law enforcement that himself and Beal had been involved in an altercation. Due to the morning dispute, the man began to pack his belongings in order to vacate the residence. When Beal’s boyfriend attempted to leave the premises, the woman denied him from exiting the bedroom. According to the affidavit, Beal proceeded to shove and strike the man in the face various times with a closed fist.
Burkhart observed that Beal’s boyfriend did have indicators of being assaulted in the form of marks and swelling consistent with the account of the incident.
Tawana Beal was arrested and charged with domestic assault. Her bond was set at $1,500.
