Woman asks loss prevention to not tell police about weed in her bra

32-year-old Krystal Scaletta was charged with theft of property and tampering with evidence after she was caught trying to steal $40 worth of items from Walmart. She then asked the loss prevention agent to not tell police about the weed in her bra.

On August 9th, Clarksville Police Department Officer McCray arrived at Walmart on 3050 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard in response to a theft. When he spoke to the loss prevention officer who told him that the defendant, Krystal Scaletta, stole $40 worth of merchandise.

The loss prevention officer told Officer McCray that Scaletta told him she had marijuana in her bra and to not tell police. She denied having the weed after the officer asked her about it. Officer McCray then cleared out an area in the office space for her to remove the marijuana on her own in private. Afterward, she handed him two pieces of paper that were not weed and he found a part of a joint that she threw away in the trash. He was unable to recover the item.

Krystal Scaletta was arrested and charged with theft of property and tampering with evidence. Her bond was set at $5,000.
