Wife charged after husband tells officer he is afraid to go to bed that night

35-year-old Kristian Smith was charged with domestic assault after her husband was in fear for his life because he claims she made ambiguous threats towards him during a discussion about infidelity.

On November 14th, Clarksville Police Officer Alyssa Wade responded to a domestic violence call at 621 Tiny Town Road Apartment 901. Officer Wade made contact with Steven Runda, the husband of Kristian Smith, and said that they got into an argument and that Smith made threats to harm Runda. Runda also stated that he is afraid to be alone and sleep at night because he thinks that Smith will harm him.

When asked by Officer Wade what kind of threats were made to Runda he was unable to explain specific threats were made. Afterward, Officer Wade spoke with Smith who said that she confronted him about infidelity and that he became upset, and also stated that nothing physical happened between them. Officer Wade charged Smith with domestic assault because Runda said that Smith had made him fear for his life.

Kristian Smith was arrested and charged with domestic assault. She has since been released on a $250 bond.
