58-year-old Jeffery Russell Marshall was charged with domestic assault after pulling his adopted daughter’s arm while on the porch during an attempt to evict her.
On November 16th, Montgomery County Deputy Michael Jones responded to a domestic call located at 4161 Marthas Chapel Road. Upon arrival, it was stated to the deputy that Jeffery Marshall came over to the residence to confront his adopted daughter, Jamie Marshall. Mr. Marshall was attempting to evict her from the residence due to non-payment of rent and utilities. While disputing the lack of payments with his daughter, Marshall grabbed her by her left arm and attempted to pull her off the front porch all while instructing her to leave the residence.
Jamie Marshall stated that the incident had left her with a visible bruise on her left arm however, she was not in fear of her father. She told the officer that she just wants Marshall to know he can not grab and pull her in that manner. Both parties were asked to write a statement. The deputy found Jeffery Marshall to be the aggressor and placed him into custody.
Jeffery Russell Marshall was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $250 bond.
