Teen puts ex in chokehold over ownership of bicycle

19-year-old Nathan Holt was charged with aggravated domestic assault after pushing his ex-girlfriend off a bike and putting her in a chokehold during an argument about the possession of a bicycle.

On August 19th, Deputy Turner responded to a domestic assault in progress at 3518 Eastridge Road. Four people were present when the deputy arrived. He first spoke with Anastasia Gaboury who explained that she and her ex-boyfriend, Nathan Holt, both rent the property from his mother and had been arguing over possession of a bicycle. Ms. Gaboury said that at some point during their argument Holt pushed her off the bike causing her to crash to the ground.

They continued to argue until Holt put Gaboury into a chokehold. She claimed she was unable to breathe when he had her restrained and when she finally freed herself, she called 911. Three of the four people present gave statements and the injuries sustained all corroborated that Holt had placed Gaboury in the chokehold.

Nathan Holt was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault and his bond was set at $5,000.
