Stolen revolver found woman’s backpack, she claimed she bought it from neighbors

30-year-old Cheyenne Fulton was charged with theft of property when she and her husband were stopped on Zinc Plant Road for not having a license plate and she admitted ownership of a backpack containing a stolen revolver.

On August 20th, Montgomery County Deputy Weber performed a traffic stop on a silver Pontiac Grand Am that did not have a license plate displayed. Deputy Weber stopped the Pontiac along the westbound side of Zinc Plant Road.

Inside the vehicle were two individuals who are married to each other. The driver was identified as Earnest Poe and the passenger Cheyenne Fulton. Deputy Weber conducted a consensual search of the vehicle and found a loaded revolver in a backpack that Fulton said was hers. The revolver was reported stolen, even though they both claimed that they had bought the handgun from their neighbor.

Cheyenne Fulton was arrested and charged with theft of property. Her bond was set at $10,000.
