Southside man tells passenger “I want your life”, hits him in the head with a metal pipe

34-year-old Joshua Anderson was charged with aggravated assault after confronting a man who supposedly slept with his wife by telling him “I want your life” before he pulled out a metal pipe from under his seat and hit him in the head.

On May 30th, around 3:30 am Deputy Rivera arrived at the scene of an assault where he met the victim who told him that between midnight and 1 am he was riding in Joshua Anderson’s truck with Anderson driving. He said that they were traveling on Zinc Plant Road and coming up on the intersection of that road and River Road.

On the way, the victim said that Anderson confronted him about the suspicion of sleeping with his wife. Anderson then told him “I want your life” and pulled out a metal pipe from under his seat and struck him in the head with it. Deputy Rivera noticed an approximately one-inch long laceration on his head and searched the truck and found the metal pipe under the driver’s seat.

Joshua Anderson was arrested and charged for aggravated assault. His bond was set at $75,000.
