When he was asked to provide his license and registration, the passenger of the vehicle, Faye Beale, opened the glove compartment and a pistol fell out. Kargbo said the weapon was his and then consented to a standard field sobriety test. Police conducted the SFST due to Kargbo’s eyes being red and watery as well as his speech slurred. The test showed many signs that Kargbo was intoxicated and when he was given a breathalyzer test, his blood alcohol content was a .135.

Ibrahim Kargbo was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and possession of a firearm while intoxicated. His bond was set at $7,500.
