Parolee drops meth during Clarksville traffic stop

27-year-old Ronnie Grammer was charged with possession of meth, tampering with evidence, driving while license revoked, driving an unregistered vehicle, and violation of financial responsibility law when he was pulled over for a nonfunctional taillight and when he exited his vehicle, police witnessed him drop meth on the ground.

On May 10th, around midnight at 1100 Ashland City Road Officer Alquzweeni performed a traffic stop on a 2005 Nissan Sentra for a non-functioning taillight. The driver was the defendant, Ronnie Grammer, who told police that he lost his way home and didn’t realize that his taillight was out.

Officer Alquzweeni asked Grammer to exit the vehicle and when Grammer did, he dropped a receipt wrapped methamphetamine rock. A field test proved it to be positive for methamphetamine. Grammer’s license was revoked, he had no proof of insurance, and the registration had been expired for three years.

Ronnie Grammer was arrested and charged with possession of meth, tampering with evidence, driving while license revoked, driving an unregistered vehicle, and violation of financial responsibility law. His bond was set at $8,000.
