Feat Claybrook Terrick

20-year-old Terrick Desmon Claybrook was charged with domestic assault after he broke up with his boyfriend, Horace Jenkins, and reportedly chased him down College Street to whack him in the head with a phone charger. They presented conflicting stories to Scoop when individually interviewed.

On October 25th, Clarksville Police Officer Oakes responded to a domestic in progress call located where College Street and University Avenue meet.

Upon arrival, Officer Oakes made contact with Horace Jenkins. Jenkins stated that he and Terrick Claybrook got into a verbal altercation after he had broken off their relationship, then the argument turned physical. Jenkins also stated that Claybrook proceeded to chase after him on College Street and struck him in the head with “an unknown black object.” Officer Oakes observed an abrasion in the middle of Jenkins’s head with some bleeding. It was also stated that Claybrook was not on the scene upon arrival. Claybrook was deemed the aggressor in the altercation and a warrant for domestic simple assault was secured.

Scoop: Clarksville reached out to Claybrook, and he claims that the order of events presented in the affidavit is entirely off. He stated that his ex came to Main 608 apartments and blocked the stairs leading up to his apartments. Claybrook said, “I kept asking him to leave, then he charged at me. He ran up to me, and I threw my charger at him. And then I ran and got in my car and left.” Main 608 has since taken action to let Jenkins know he is not allowed on the property, and that the authorities will be called if he is seen at the apartments.

Scoop: Clarksville also reached out to Jenkins and says that he was leaving the apartments when they got into a verbal argument. Jenkins clarified that as he was leaving, Claybrook threw a phone charger at the back of his head “when I was running away from him.” Jenkins said called the authorities because he isn’t native to Clarksville and did not have anywhere to turn to. Jenkins said that he personally has a lot to lose, and stated “If were to put my hands on him I would get in trouble.” Jenkins claims he ran away from Claybrooks at the time because he was acting “belligerent.”

Terrick Desmon Claybrook was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $5,000 bond.
