Hopper stabbed St. Hill multiple times and then stabbed Crowder once before taking off in a green Toyota Tacoma. Officers saw the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop where they found Hopper and his brother, Christopher Hopper. Both were questioned, and Christopher explained that he took his brother to the house to obtain illegal narcotics. He confirmed his brother had stabbed Crowder and St. Hill. Crowder was taken to Tennova Medical Center and St. Hill was life-flighted to Vanderbilt Medical Center.

Hunter Hopper was arrested and charged with two counts of aggravated assault. His bond was set at $205,000.
