28-year-old Seth Stephens was charged with possession of methamphetamine, violating registration law, and driving on a suspended license after he was pulled over on a license plate issue. He was shot and killed at work on December 2nd.

On November 24th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Deputy Jackson initiated a traffic stop on a white Nissan Altima at the intersection of the 41A Bypass and Vista Lane when he noticed the license plate was for a Chevy Impala. After Stephens declined consent, Deputy Owens arrived with his service dog and conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle. Per the affidavit, the dog showed signs of finding a substance in the vehicle. A search of the vehicle produced a 0.6-gram bag of a crystalline substance believed to be methamphetamine and a 0.7-gram baggie was found on his person. Officers said Stephens admitted to only using meth and that he eats it to stay awake.

Seth Stephens was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent, violating registration law, and driving with a suspended license. He was released on a $1,500 bond.
