Man locked outside home by family he just attempted to strangle

39-year-old Poncee Mullins was charged with two counts of domestic assault after strangling his wife after putting her to the ground and putting his body weight on his step-son.

On November 22nd, Clarksville Police Officer Thomas Martens responded to domestic violence with simple assault at 621 Bay Lane. Officer Martens made contact with Alissa Mullins, the wife of Poncee Mullins, and she said that they were arguing and it turned physical. She stated that when they were arguing Poncee Mullins grabbed her and threw her on the ground. Poncee Mullins reportedly then tried to strangle her, but Poncee Mullin’s step-son intervened.

Poncee Mullins then threw his step-son on the ground and put his body weight on him. The step-son eventually broke free and Alissa Mullins told him to go outside, but Poncee Mullins followed him and told him to go back inside. When the step-son came inside Alissa Mullins locked the door behind him, so Poncee would be locked out. Poncee then left the residence, and officers attempted to call him but he did not pick up.

Poncee Mullins was arrested and charged with two counts of domestic assault. He has since been released on a $2,000 bond.
