Man found unresponsive in church parking lot with heroin folded in “Trump 2020” bills

33-year-old Joseph Cash was charged with possession of heroin, possession of Xanax without a prescription, drug paraphernalia, and violating his conditions of release after he was found unresponsive in a church parking lot.

On September 2nd, MCSO Deputy Byers was patrolling on Cumberland Heights when he noticed a car in the parking lot of Pleasant View Baptist Church with its hazard lights on. When he approached the vehicle, Byers found an unresponsive Joseph Cash in the driver’s seat. It took around five minutes for Cash to give a response to Byers, and during that time Byers saw a black pouch and a glass pipe with residue inside the vehicle.

When Cash came back to consciousness, he was asked to step out of the vehicle, and a search yielded 3 needles, a glass bowl, a tin can with 4 Xanax, and 2 “Trump” 2020 bills both folded with less than a gram of field-tested heroin in them. Cash was found to have active conditions of release that prohibited him from using or possessing any controlled substances.

Joseph Cash was arrested and charged with possession of heroin, possession of Xanax without a prescription, drug paraphernalia, and violating his conditions of release. His total bond was set at $125,000.
