61-year-old Michael Anthony Stephenson was arrested and charged with public intoxication after he was found sitting behind Rural King.
On October 21st, Clarksville Police Officer Thomas Harrison responded to a public intoxication call at Rural King located at 1141 Fort Campbell Blvd. Upon arrival, Officer Harrison made contact with Michael Stephenson sitting behind the building. Stephenson admitted that he had done some drinking earlier that day. The officer observed Stephenson slurring his speech as well.
Officer Hickmon asked Stephenson if he was capable of supporting his own weight and safely walk. According to the affidavit, Stephenson attempted to show the officer he was in control of his motor functions but failed to support his own weight and fell to the ground.
Michael Anthony Stephenson was arrested and charged with public intoxication. He is currently jailed in lieu of a $439 bond.
