49-year-old Michael Chitwood was charged with domestic assault after his wife, who has recently arrested for his assault, reported to police that they were soon-to-be-divorced and he kept touching her despite being asked to stop.
On September 26th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Deputies responded to a domestic report at 3778 McGregor Road, where they made contact with Mrs. Tiffany Chitwood. She told police that while Michael Chitwood was intoxicated, he followed her around the house and argued with her about their marital affairs and upcoming divorce.
She asked him several times to leave her alone, and proceeded to the kitchen to empty the dishwasher, when Mr. Chitwood “jumped towards Mrs. Chitwood” to grab the phone out of her back pocket, putting her in fear of being assaulted. Mr. Chitwood’s hand touched her behind, and she swatted his hand away, knocking the phone into the sink. Mrs. Chitwood reported to deputies this wasn’t the first time he had touched her after explicitly telling him not to. She also provided deputies with home surveillance footage of which deputies remarked “I watched Mr. Chitwood smack Mrs. Chitwood on the behind making Mrs. Chitwood jump away from him.”
Michael Andrew Chitwood was arrested and charged with domestic assault. He was later released on a $500 bond.
