It wasn’t “all gravy”: Hardee’s employee charged with DUI after swerving through traffic

22-year-old Daniel Allen was charged with driving under the influence after he was caught swerving throughout lanes of traffic in the area of 101st Airborne Division Parkway and Whitfield Road. He was found by police to be intoxicated after failing several field sobriety tests.

On June 14th, Officer Rodriguez was dispatched to the intersection of 101st Airborne Division Pkwy and Whitfield Rd regarding a reckless driver. Law enforcement was informed that the driver was swerving in all lanes of traffic throughout the intersection. The suspect vehicle was discovered shortly thereafter by Rodriguez at the meeting of Raleigh Ct and Cedar Bend Rd. The driver was reportedly swerving into the opposite lane of traffic while maneuvering the vehicle. A traffic stop was initiated following Rodriguez’s observance of this. Upon arrival to the vehicle, the officer made contact with Daniel Allen, the driver in question.

Field sobriety tests were administered following Allen’s consent. Allen reportedly displayed signs of intoxication throughout the demonstration, failing every test given. A blood test was submitted and agreed upon by Allen. The driver was transported to Tennova Medical Center to conduct a blood test, which was then submitted for evidence at the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.

Daniel Allen was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. His bond was set at $2,500.
