Intoxicated woman tells trooper there was a second party involved in her single-vehicle crash

24-year-old Bailey Bashore was charged with driving under the influence after she told authorities that she was involved in a crash with another vehicle, but she was unable to give a description while she smelled of alcohol.

On November 24th, Tennessee Highway Patrol Officer David Dacosta responded to a single-vehicle crash on Rossview Road. The vehicle was a black Volkswagen Jetta that was traveling east on Rossview Rd. When Officer Dacosta made contact with Bailey Bashore she stated that she was driving the vehicle and said that another vehicle crashed into her. She could not give a description of the vehicle that crashed into her and there was not any roadway evidence of another car.

Officer Dacosta gave her a couple of tests and based on the evidence collected he decided to place her under arrest for driving under the influence. She had no prior DUI charges according to NCIC, and she was sent to Tennova Hospital for a blood draw.

Bailey Bashore was arrested and charged with driving under the influence. She has since been released on a $2,500 bond.
