25-year-old John-Caleb Woodberry was charged with domestic assault after getting physical with his wife while intoxicated.
On August 28th, Clarksville Police Officer Kirill Annikov was dispatched to 2041 Russellville Pike regarding a domestic situation. John-Caleb Woodberry was intoxicated at the front door. He explained he had gotten into an argument with his wife, Tyonna Carthell, which led to him grabbing her by the arms to calm her down. Woodberry said that was the only physical thing that happened.
Carthall told the officer she went to sleep in her daughter’s room to avoid her husband. Woodberry came up and banged on the door until she opened it and he came in the room, intoxicated, arguing with her. During their argument, he grabbed Carthell by the arms and slammed her on the bed, falling on top of her. She yelled continuously until he got off of her at which point she immediately called 911.
John-Caleb Woodberry was arrested and charged with domestic assault. His bond was set at $1,000.
