25-year-old Morgan Bakos was charged with public intoxication after being found in Dillard’s claiming she had only taken prescription medication and was planning to walk home to Indian Mound.
On August 12th, Officer Jeremy Chisenhall was dispatched to Dillard’s at 2801 Wilma Rudolph Boulevard for a public intoxication incident. Officer Hicks was flagged down by Dillard’s employees because of an intoxicated woman, Morgan Bakos. They found Bakos in the customer service area. She could not stand and had slurred speech. Bakos claimed she had only taken medicine she had been prescribed.
She was completely unaware of how she came to arrive at Dillard’s, was completely alone, and appeared to have pooped herself. Bakos explained to the officers that she planned to walk home to Indian Mound, which is approximately 26 miles away and over an eight-hour walk. She was cleared by EMS and deemed a danger to herself.
Morgan Bakos was arrested and charged with public intoxication. Her bond was set at $439. She was arrested again on August 15th for domestic assault and her bond was set at $2,500.
