Impaired man wrecks vehicle multiple times with child on board

39-year-old Randy Miller was charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license after having two collisions with a minor present in the vehicle.

On November the 13th, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office put out a BOLO on a silver Toyota car traveling down Highway 48. Shortly afterward, the vehicle from the BOLO was believed to be involved in a crash on that same roadway, then also backed into another vehicle. An MCSO deputy observed the accident and tailed the car, activating his emergency lights in the process.

After a “prolonged period of time,” the vehicle pulled over into a parking lot on Highway 48 and Salem road. When Deputy Reynolds arrived on the scene, Miller was being treated by an ambulance for low blood sugar. An 11-year-old male passenger was in the vehicle as well. Miller was reported to have taken Suboxone and his pupils were reacting minimally to light. Miller agreed to field sobriety test, and “exhibited multiple clues on the Walk and Turn and One Leg Stand.” Miller then agreed to sign an Implied Consent form and was taken to Tennova to have his blood drawn. After testing, he was released from the ER and medically cleared to go to jail.

Randy Miller was arrested and charged with driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license. He was later released on a $7,500 bond.
