Duo’s dispute leads police to blunts, edibles, and waxes

25-year-old Lisa Gutierrez and 42-year-old Decorey Jackson were charged with possession of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and other charges after she allowed the police to search her home following a physical altercation.

On November 11th, Clarksville Police Officer Gadberry reported to 3193 Fort Campbell Blvd in reference to a domestic assault call. Decorey advised he and his girlfriend, Lisa Gutierrez, were arguing and when he tried to leave, she got in his face and began yelling at him. He reported that she slapped and hit him several times but he only picked her up and put her on the couch to restrain her. He then left the residence and refused to return or meet the police, only communicating via phone.

Officers then met with Lisa Guttierez, who confirmed his statements. She then allowed the officers to search the residence, which they noted revealed partially smoked blunts and apple bags as well as several containers of marijuana in various forms, including “wax” and edibles. The total combined weight of all cannabis was in excess of half an ounce.

During the investigation, she began receiving threatening text messages from Decorey. The officers observed messages that included indications of Decorey having “weed” and needing to sell it for his “plug”. Further inspection showed messages with Decorey threatening to come over with his friends and break in to get his things. He also sent pictures of firearms and threatened to show up to her work. Decorey later admitted to sending the messages but that it was only out of anger.

On November 12th, Officer Nemeth received a report from Agent Smith of a vehicle with a passenger he recognized as Decorey Jackson. The driver, Charlene Jackson, consented to a search of the vehicle and the officer uncovered a plastic bag containing marijuana and multiple packages of cigarillos. After he was arrested, Decorey claimed ownership of the drugs.

Lisa Gutierrez was arrested and charged with domestic assault, possession of marijuana, and drug paraphernalia. She was later released on a $4,000 bond. Her charges have since been bound over to a grand jury.

Decorey Jackson was arrested and charged with harassment, resale of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, and two counts of possession of marijuana. Decorey is currently jailed in lieu of a $45,000 bond.
