Homeless woman with previous assault charges strikes police officer

31-year-old Jamie Aylor was charged with assault of an officer and resisting arrest after voluntary contact was made by police where she pulled away and then hit the officer in the face.

On May 19th, Officer Matthew Johnson initiated contact with Jamie Aylor at the Harbor Freight on 668 N. Riverside Drive. Johnson proceeded to check the National Crime Information Center databases and revealed an active pre-trial release for a previous assault charge from January.

As Johnson began to put Aylor into custody, she struck him on the right side of his face, per report.

Jamie Aylor was arrested and charged with the assault of an officer and resisting arrest. Her bond was set at $22,500.
