Palmyra passenger admits to having a syringe during traffic stop for false tags

30-year-old Jacob Rittenhouse was charged with compliance of financial responsibility, driving on a suspended license, possession of meth, possession of fentanyl with intent, and unlawful drug paraphernalia after he admitted to having a syringe during a traffic stop for false tags.

On May 18th, Officer Pacheco conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Tamera Dennis for a false license plate. After stopping the car, passenger Jacob Rittenhouse was questioned, later confessing to having a syringe on his person.

According to the affidavit, Pacheco then carried out a search of the vehicle. The officer discovered three bags containing a substance believed to be fentanyl and one bag of presumed methamphetamine. Field testing revealed Rittenhouse to be carrying .5 grams of fentanyl and .1 grams of meth.

Multiple empty bags were also uncovered, of which were assumed to be utilized in the distribution of narcotics. Also found inside Dennis’ vehicle was two additional syringes as well as a scale. Rittenhouse later admitted that his cell phone included messages that were suggestive towards selling the recovered substances.

Jacob Rittenhouse was arrested and charged with compliance of financial responsibility, driving on a suspended license, possession of meth, possession of fentanyl with intent, and unlawful drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $40,000.
