Homeless man tries to nab $188 worth of goods from Walmart

47-year-old Abdul Sabree was charged with shoplifting, criminal impersonation and two counts of unlawful drug paraphernalia after concealing close to $200 worth of Walmart merchandise in a stolen backpack.

On May 18, Officer Mullins was dispatched to the Walmart located on 1680 Ft. Campbell Blvd in response to a potential theft of property. According to an eyewitness account, Abdul Sabree entered Walmart and began to take items off of the sales floor, including a backpack, men’s boxers, pants, and Hart branded tools.

Sabree proceeded to walk past the store’s point of sale, exiting the building with merchandise valued at $188. All stolen items were recovered without restitution. Sabree was confronted and seized, giving false identification to Officer Mullins and Walmart loss prevention.

Abdul Sabree was arrested and charged with theft of property, criminal impersonation, and two counts of unlawful drug paraphernalia. His total bond was set at $9,500.
