Homeless drinker caught trespassing at RadioShack

42-year-old Jerry Stokes was charged with public intoxication and criminal trespassing after illegally loitering near the “no trespassing” sign by RadioShack with an open cup of beer in hand.

On May 25th, Officer Moss was dispatched to 1594 Ft. Campbell Blvd in regards to a criminal trespass. Upon arrival, Moss noticed multiple individuals at the RadioHhack underneath the “no trespassing” sign. After making contact with the individuals, Moss recognized one of the subjects, Jerry Stokes, who had been trespassed from the location nearly two weeks prior.

In Stokes’ hand was an open can of beer. Further investigation revealed Stokes to have bloodshot eyes and a slurred manner of speaking. He later confessed to drinking two 16 ounce cans of beer prior to the officer’s arrival. After being determined to be a harm to himself, Stokes was taken into custody for public intoxication and criminal trespassing.

Jerry Stokes was arrested and charged for criminal trespass and public intoxication. His bond was set at $1,000.
