Elderly man says he never strangled his girlfriend; talks to police with grinder in pocket

69-year-old Bobby Morrow was charged with aggravated domestic assault, theft of property, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia after he reportedly strangled his girlfriend and stole her phone after she started an argument with him over the death of her friend.

On November 2nd, Clarksville Police Officer Spain responded to an aggravated domestic assault call at Days Inn Motel located at 130 Westfield Court. Upon arrival, the officer made contact with Soledad Roman who stated that she was staying at the motel with her boyfriend, Bobby Morrow. She advised that she was upset about her friend dying and started an argument with Bobby.

According to the report, after she asked him to leave the room he became upset and splashed a drink on her. Soledad advised that she sat down and Bobby began strangling her with his arm from behind to the point where she could not breathe. She could not remember whether or not she lost consciousness. She further reported that he took her cell phone and left the room. Officer Spain made contact with Bobby who advised that the assault never happened and when he was searched a grinder was found on his person with marijuana in it.

Bobby Morrow was arrested and charged with aggravated domestic assault, theft of property, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. He is currently jailed in lieu of an $11,000 bond.
