Woman returns item already in Walmart; uses the money in an attempt to steal more

42-year-old Toni Camia was charged with burglary after she was caught on camera skip scanning items and fraudulently returning an item at Walmart while she had outstanding warrants.

On October 30th, Clarksville Police Officer Schohn responded to a burglary at Walmart located at 1680 Fort Campbell Boulevard. Walmart Loss Prevention advised that there was a female skip scanning items at the self check-out, and officers were able to view live footage of Toni Camia placing five items in her cart and proceed past the point of sale.

Per the report, Toni also fraudulently returned an item she grabbed from inside the store for a refund of $21.87 which she used as a partial payment on the items in her shopping cart. After she was detained a search in the system confirmed that she had outstanding warrants. She had also been previously trespassed by Walmart with an active date of December 19th, 2019 which she signed with an understanding that she was not to return. All of the items were recovered and it was determined that she deprived Walmart of $75.13.

Toni Camia was arrested and charged with burglary. She is currently jailed in lieu of a $5,000 bond.
