Duo found with 156 grams of meth and much more found near elementary school

38-year-old Bernard Roberson and 22-year-old Kristin Yazzie were charged with possession of methamphetamine, Xanax, and hydrocodone after a police service dog conducted an open-air sniff at a traffic stop near Rossview Elementary.

On November 18th, Agent Charles Bryant and Sargent McClung with the 19th Judicial District Drug Task Force initiated a traffic stop on a red Chevy impala for speeding. The vehicle was pulled over near the intersection of Rossview Road and Dunbar Cave Road after going 42mph in a 30 mph zone. Bryant made contact with the driver, Bernard Roberson, and the passenger, Kristin Yazzie. Clarksville K9 Police Officer Swaffer and his police service dog conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle. Swaffer indicated that his police service dog detected the odor of narcotics emitting from the vehicle.

Upon searching the vehicle, officers found a box with 6 bags and another container of suspected methamphetamine, totaling roughly 5.58 ounces, or 156.3 grams, of meth. Officers also found 42 2mg Xanax bars, 1 10mg hydrocodone pill, and various drug paraphernalia, including baggies, meth pipes, and a scale. The suspected meth was field-tested positive for methamphetamine using the TruNarc Mass Spectrometer. The pills were identified via a pill database. Roberson was already on probation for felony drug charges.

Bernard Roberson and Kristin Yazzie were both arrested and charged with possession of meth, Xanax, hydrocodone, and drug paraphernalia. Bernard received an additional charge for speeding. Bernard currently jailed in lieu of a $356,000 bond. Kristin is also currently jailed in lieu of a $202,000 bond.
